Apiary Production
Overview
Using comments to capture apiary harvested honey attributes can provide a simple way to understand which apiaries produce the highest volume, quality along with timing.
Due to traceability requirements and specific testing results, we recommend using a fixed set of tags and appropriate descriptors for apiary production data capture. This will allow you to use the Dashboard to quickly understand the batch and drum numbers, production metrics and associated test results for apiaries.
Apiary Attributes Example
-
Capture Your Data
-
Team agrees to capture apiary test results, volumes and batch/drum data in apiary comments
-
-
Analyze Your Data
-
Filter on date range and average honey weight/hive along with Manuka test levels (MGO and DHA)
-
Determine apiaries that have the highest production of high quality Manuka and the timing of honey flow
-
Use this data to plan where to put hives in the next season and which property contracts to renew or expand
