Activity Management

Overview

Using comments to help manage team activities can be a useful way to quickly understand what has or has not been accomplished. This can be as simple and having each team member document what was accomplished after each apiary visit based on their judgement or can require them to document specific activities in consistent ways so Dashboard filters can be used for analysis.

Unstructured Activity

  • Capture Your Data

    • Team agrees to document a comment after each apiary visit

    • General agreement to what activities should be noted but no specific terms or tags that should be used

  • Analyze Your Data

    • Filter on date range and review all comments to determine what action has or has not been taken

    • Filter on date range and different potential text terms to determine what action has been taken

Structured Activity

  • Capture Your Data

    • Team agrees to a set of commenting standards to describe a set of common apiary activities.

    • These could be specific words or could be more easily standardized by using a set of predefined tags

  • Analyze Your Data

    • Filter on specific term or tag in specific timeframe to see which specific activities have been completed
